I was skeptical based on other reviews, and they are right, the fit is a little odd. But for my body type, these are actually pretty great. I have a short waist, not curvy, and narrow hips. These felt tight in the hip at first but the rigid denim stretched enough to make them comfortable after sitting in them for a few hours. They are low enough rise that I don't feel like a stuffed sausage. But they are more like mid-rise, i.e, not falling down into ""whale tail"" territory. I love the wide leg and raw hem.
