Jeans FAQs

What is the difference between skinny jeans and slim fit jeans?

Skinny jeans are more form-fitting, hug closer to the body, are slimmer at the hem, and the jeans may contain more stretch compared to slim jeans, which offer a little more room to move and that are less fitted at the ankle.

What is the difference between Barrel jeans and Horseshoe jeans?

Both barrel jeans and horseshoe jeans host a wide leg with a curved shape through the legs, however the difference between the two is that the horseshoe jeans are more exaggerated in silhouette than the barrel fit, meaning this style has a little more fabric, weight and volume.

What is the difference between boyfriend jeans and mom jeans?

The main difference between boyfriend jeans and mom jeans is in the waist and the leg - the fit around the waist on boyfriend jeans sits lower, whilst mom jeans are usually higher waisted sitting above the navel. The leg shape of mom jeans tends to be straight, hitting at the ankle, and boyfriend jeans have a slightly slouchier fit.

What is the difference between boyfriend jeans and girlfriend jeans?

Girlfriend jeans sit at the waist and host a narrow leg, which is different to boyfriend jeans which have a lower waist line and a more relaxed, slightly baggier shape at the leg.

What is the difference between regular and straight fit jeans?

Straight leg jeans have a consistent straight leg width from the thigh down to the ankle, whereas regular fit jeans can taper slightly on the lower leg giving a slightly more fitted overall aesthetic, compared to straight leg jeans.

What is the difference between relaxed fit and loose fit jeans?

The main difference between relaxed fit and loose fit jeans is that looser fits are cut to offer more room in the legs, giving a slightly oversized shape. Relaxed fit jeans are more straight cut and the fabric sits closer to the body.
